The full moon in Scorpio on April 29th, 2018 brings many different cosmic influences into our lives, which will uplift and empower you. Spring is here and it brings with it the Pink moon! Named by some American Indian tribes for the little pink flowers called Wild Ground Phlox that appear in the meadows at this time of the year.
The Meaning of the Full Moon
A full moon occurs when the Sun and Moon are opposite of one another. This brings about increased emotional strength and intuition. During times when the moon is full, opposing forces or polarities will be highlighted. When this happens, awareness and consciousness are brought to the inner struggles of our lives such as: what we want vs what we need, work vs home, friends vs family, etc. The days following the full moon will bring clarity to these situations as long as you have brought them into your awareness. If you choose not to bring them to your awareness, then the cycle will most likely continue.
April's Full Moon
The full moon falls in Scorpio with the sun falling opposite in Taurus. A true light/dark or yin/yang situation comes about with a strong headed, practical Taurus opposing the aloof, mysterious Scorpio. This is a good full moon for sharing deeper, more serious emotions with a loved one. Commitment, loyalty and the family home may be topics of interest during the coming two weeks. If your in a relationship, be sure you are conscious of your partners feelings during this time.
Scorpio's psychic-emotional power is both feared and respected. Releasing something at this full moon can feel daunting in some way, like it's final and there's no turning back. Scorpio is often called the all-or-nothing sign. But if you risk it and surrender, the rewards are big.
Full Moon April 2018 sextile Saturn is an excellent omen because Saturn rules preparedness, steadiness, determination and final success. This means bring about new projects, relationships and partnerships. From the new moon (April 15) you have a good chance of success because the new moon is aligned with a fixed star associated with preparedness, steadiness, determination and final success.
Planets in Retrograde
The full moon was in Scorpio on May 10, 2017, and it next returns to Scorpio on Monday, April 30, 2018. Keep in mind that four planets are in retrograde around this time, with Saturn and Pluto the closest: Jupiter in Virgo (March 8), Saturn in Sagittarius (April 17), Mars in Sagittarius (March 8) and Pluto in Capricorn (April 22). With these planets in retrograde, keep these things in mind:
Restoring faith in the path itself, beyond hopelessness and with synchronicity as a guide.
Relearning to trust your body and its signals, being resourceful, and turning to what's wholesome and purifying.
Where's the motivation? Only what's inspired, moral and true.
Re-rooting in what's enduring, timeless and in harmony with nature.
